Dream Vacation
Imagine you can go anywhere in the world for a vacation. Where would you go? What would you do there? Describe your dream destination and the activities you would enjoy.
世界中どこへでもバカンスに行けると想像してみてください。どこに行きますか？そこで何をしますか？夢の旅行先と、そこで楽しめるアクティビティについて説明してください。
英文1回目
If I could go anywhere, I would choose to visit Northern Europe, specifically Finland. I have seen many photos of the countries and believe they have unique cultures that have adapted to their specific weather conditions. What intrigues me the most is their design of furniture and housewares. Exploring the towns would be an excellent sightseeing experience. I imagine I would see many different scenes compared to Japan because of their advanced social welfare systems. Additionally, I love the character “Moomin.” I still buy Moomin merchandise even as an adult. The words of Moomin have always inspired me deeply. In fact, I think the world of Moomin reminds me of old, cherished aspects of Japanese culture. For these reasons, I dream of visiting Finland.
もしどこにでも行けるとしたら、北欧、特にフィンランドに行きたいです。これらの国々の写真をたくさん見たことがあり、それぞれの気候に適応した独自の文化があると感じています。最も興味を引かれるのは、家具や家庭用品のデザインです。町を探索することは素晴らしい観光体験になるでしょう。先進的な社会福祉制度のおかげで、日本とは異なる多くの光景を見ることができると思います。さらに、「ムーミン」というキャラクターが大好きです。大人になってもムーミングッズを買い続けています。ムーミンの言葉はいつも私の心の奥深くに感動を与えてくれます。実際、ムーミンの世界観は昔の日本の良い文化を思い出させてくれると思います。これらの理由から、フィンランドを訪れることを夢見ています。

I anticipate witnessing many different scenes compared to Japan, largely due to their advanced social welfare systems. Additionally, I have a fondness for the character “Moomin.” I still purchase Moomin merchandise even as an adult. The words of Moomin have always profoundly inspired me. In fact, I believe the world of Moomin reminds me of cherished aspects of traditional Japanese culture. For these reasons, I aspire to visit Finland.

振り返り
それから、「先進的な社会福祉制度のおかげで」と書いていますが、文字情報だけ知っていて内容を知らないことに気づきました。このように、書きだすことで知らないことに気づくことができます。英作文には、英語の練習だけではなくジャーナリングの効果もあるかもしれないと思いました。
